Caldera owes their customers to put this into the FAQ.  This library was 
omitted from their CD distribution.  There is a more up to date RPM which has 
a full set of egcs binaries on their web site (that is mentioned in their 
FAQ); besides that, the standard gcc-2.95.1 source release builds out of the 
box using the gcc which is in the COL 2.2 standard installation.  No way 
should you be mixing gcc-2.8.1 in with these newer versions.
