Linuxcare is looking for contractors to author Kernel Cousins

Hi,

I'm cross-posting this because it seems relevant to both lists, even though
it's not strictly on topic for either. This is the first time I'm sending
out a message like this to any list, so anyone who feels it is inappropriate
(or appropriate) should please say so.

Kernel Traffic < http://kt.linuxcare.com > recently expanded into the Kernel
Cousins project < http://kt.linuxcare.com/KC >, and now covers Wine, Debian
Hurd, and the Gimp.

Linuxcare would like to recruit contractors to write new Kernel Cousins. The
C compiler is an obvious choice, both for its importance in the scheme of
things, and also because Kernel Traffic frequently discusses the
interactions between kernel and compiler development. A Kernel Cousin for
GCC would present a non-kernel perspective on those interactions, and would
also explore the C compiler in its own right, an amazing project on which
virtually the entire Open Source world depends.

Anyone interested in contracting to write KC GCC-bugs or KC GCC-patches, or
preferably a conglomeration of both, should contact me, Zack Brown,
zbrown@linuxcare.com, to talk it over. If you're interested in doing a KC on
a different project, that's a possibility as well.
