Trouble with templates and gcc-2.95

Here's a simpler test case that exhibits the same behavior (followups to
gcc-bugs):

// Build don't link:
template<class T>
struct X {
        X(int) {}
        void f() {}
        friend void f<T>(); // gets bogus error
};
template<class T> void f() {}
int main() {
        X<double>(3);
}
