cpp: Internal compiler error in `rescan', at /src/gcc/final-2/gcc-2.95.1/src/gcc/cccp.c:3162

I'm seeing this when I try  to build the XFree86-3.3.5's xterm on Debian
Alpha. Since it is the cpp, that's  failing, there are no other files to
attach -- the created screen.i is empty.

The processor is, actually, ev5 (Alpha 21164).
