Hi,
I downloaded a binary for the GNU compilers (gcc-2.95-html-docs.tar.gz) from
ftp.xraylith.wisc.edu/pub/khan/gnu-win32/uwin/gcc-2.95. I used pax to
untar it (under UWIN on NT). When I try to compile C or FORTRAN, I get the
following message (I installed it under /usr/gnu ) :
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec
'/usr/gnu/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc/uwin/2.95/../../../../i386-pc-uwin/bin/as.exe'
Segmentation fault.
According to the "gotcha" list, it says that some GCC_.... environment
variables may have to be set if gcc cant find things, but I dont know which
ones. By the
way the above path is valid, and if i type it by hand it does run the
assembler.
Thanks,
