Namespace problem with gcc 2.95.1

To Whom It May Concern,

    We are in the process of porting our products to RedHat Linux 5.2
using gcc 2.95.1. We have a portion of code, which I have duplicated in
a small attached example, which fails to compile under gcc only when
namespaces are turned on. Currently, we are using namespaces in
Microsoft C++ 5.0 and Borland CBuilder 4 for Windows NT, Hewlett
Packard's aC++ for HP-UX, and Sun's Workshop 5.0 for Solaris 7.  Since
we currently support Sun's Workshop 4.2 for Solaris 2.6, which required
us to not use namespaces, we can obviously do the same with gcc. I
thought I should however contact you since we cannot see that this is
illformed code.

Thank You Kindly,
Daryl Jackson
