Hi, just downloaded gcc-core-2.95 and gcc-g++-2.95, cd:ed to /usr/src,
unpacked, made the dir gccbuild, cd:ed to gccbuild, did
../gcc-2.95/configure --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr --enable-shared
--enable-languages=c,c++
and then did
make bootstrap
it compiled for a while and then said
echo "int xxy_us_dummy;" >tmp-dum.c
./xgcc -B./ -B/usr/i586-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ -I/usr/i586-pc-linux-gnu/include
-S tmp-dum.c
xgcc: Internal compiler error: program cpp got fatal signal 11
make[2]: *** [s-under] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/gccbuild/gcc'
this must be a bug right? also a friend of mine sais he has had the same
problem with some version of egcs.
my system is pentium 120 running redhat5.0 with egcs-2.91.66 and glibc-2.1
please tell me how i can fix this problem it it for some reason is my
fault, and let me know if you need any other info about my system.
Hans
