Building gcc 2.95.1 on Solaris (sunos 5.6 fails)

Using Sun Workshop compiler and GNU make, all the rest are standard utilities.
Make bootstrap fails thus:

Bootstrap comparison failure!
emit-rtl.o differs
make[1]: *** [compare] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/hornenx/src/obj/gcc'
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
$ uname -a
SunOS lesu196 5.6 Generic_105181-05 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
$

I have no fix yet. I am looking into it. I could find no information about it
being a known fault.
