Possible bug in egcs-1.1.2 under SGI IRIX 6.5

Instead of tracking down this particular bug in 1.1, you could instead
trying a snapshot of what will soon become gcc 2.95. This fixes lots
of bugs; if your bug is not fixed, we'd definitely like to know.
