info on egcs-19990502

just for info:

snapshot egcs-19990502 does not compile when configured with:

configure --enable-shared --disable-debug --with-gnu-as

on a HP 975 under HPUX 10.20

> as complains about NSUBSPA during compilation of a dummy.c file
   and stops making

when the --with-gnu-as is removed, egcs does compile and install,
but C++ sources compiled with egcs-1.1.2 do not compile any more
(like the nurbs++ library: g++ complains about explicit instantiation
 after explicit specilization...)
