Is that a bug?

Hi,
when I try to compile the attached program using this egcs version:
kursawe@hex:~ > g++ -v
Reading specs from
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/egcs-2.91.66/specs
gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314 (egcs-1.1.2 release)
I get an error message saying:
kursawe@hex:~ > make egcs-bug
g++ egcs-bug.cc -o egcs-bug
/usr/local/include/g++/stl_algobase.h: In method `class foo &
foo::operator =(const class foo &)':
/usr/local/include/g++/stl_algobase.h:198: confused by earlier errors,
bailing out
make: *** [egcs-bug] Error 1
which seems to be quite strange, since there were no earlier errors.
The bug appeared in a quite complicated context, I stripped it down to
this piece of code and hope you can reproduce (and fix? :-) ) it.
Bye, Patrick
