Integer sizes in libf2c

I tried both versions starting with a complete egcs-19990321 tarball,
with and without your patch.
After i applied your latest patch to libf2c/configure.in, i had to
comment out the line 
AC_PREREQ(2.12.1)
for my autoconf.

For what is this special autoconf version neccessary at all?
It ran very well with my 2.12, too.

The result of your patch is great: Since the naked version segfaults
with my testprog, the patched version runs very well.
