egcs template problem (fwd)

Thanks for your bug report. You didn't indicate the egcs version you
were using, however, I could reproduce the bug with 1.1.1 on
i586-pc-linux-gnu. The development version (egcs-2.93.10) compiles and
runs this code just fine, so it appears the bug is fixed. I'm not sure
whether the fix will be in 1.1.2.
