Looks pretty good, and, I agree, something further seems to be needed.
Minor nits:

Dunno about that last line.  Certainly it doesn't need all those spaces,
and there's no `\n' at the end of the preceding line.

I'd suggest eliminating the last line, and appending "." to the
preceding one, to terminate the message (apparently a newline
is not appropriate there, as it wasn't present in the existing code).
