GCC 2.96 (instead of 2.95)?

Did I miss anything or is there a typo in the patch below? Won't the next
release be called 2.95?

	* README, configure.in, gcc.1, gcc.texi: Update name (egcs -> gcc)
        and version #s (1.1 -> 2.96) as needed.

(I verified and indeed 2.96 now occurs in the source files as well, so
this is not just a typo on the ChangeLog.)
