Odd regression status -- known?

I'm running straight Unix versions of everything on Interix.
Our compiler doesn't even define __WIN32 (which makes my life
much easier). However, if expect has some OTHER way of detecting
NT that I don't know about, it's possible that it's configured
itself in some surprising way. (I'd be surprised, but it's
not impossible.)
I guess I should as point-blank... are others seeing this? If
so, then I should be looking for some build variation.
