egcs 1.1.1 build on Irix 6.5

Perhaps. If possible, I'd like to find out for sure. Could you please run

gcc -c  -DIN_GCC    -g  -DHAVE_CONFIG_H     -I. -I/usr/local/pkg/egcs/egcs-1.1.1/src/gcc -I/usr/local/pkg/egcs/egcs-1.1.1/src/gcc/config /usr/local/pkg/egcs/egcs-1.1.1/src/gcc/gencheck.c -save-temps

in the build directory and then send a (perhaps compressed) copy of
gencheck.i? That would get us a step further.

Of course, if you are satisfied with the work-around you found, we
just have to wait until this shows up the next time.
