Soliciting help with libstdc++ and exceptions

:-) Actually, most of the information is together, but I've been
meaning to split it out in finer detail, so that people that don't
use/need parts of it would not pay the price in static links.

I just read http://www.cygnus.com/~green/eh_and_libgcc.html , and it
does have a great write up on the problem.

It's sad to hear of the stories of people wanting or expecting binary
compatibility and not getting it.
