Binaries compiled with gcc-2.95.2 won't execute.

I'm giving up. I tried to reproduce a similar environment, based on
egcs-2.91.66
binutils 2.9.1
SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-08
cfengine 1.5.3
and the resulting binary would execute on older machines just fine. I
have no clue what went wrong for you. To further analyse this, you'd
need to debug the linker, finding out why it decides to put out a
SPARC32PLUS executable, when no input object file is SPARC32PLUS. I
doubt it is a bug in the compiler proper.
