I am in the process of porting code from LINUX to IBM. I get an error
message when I try to compile a particular file. I have tried to find the
source but I can not find the cause.

The error message is:

com.c: 3911: failed assertion '"bad op" == NULL'

Could you supply us with the source code causing the above problem
to arise and the exact version of gcc/g77 you are using (g77 -v) ?

Without it we can do little to help you (other than to be assured
that this is indeed a compiler problem in the g77 version you are
using).

Thanks in advance,
