Massive check failure for 19980906 on mips-sgi-irix6.5

Hi,

 after basically reproducing Kaveh's fixes to Java,
I could successfully bottstrap 19980906 on mips-sgi-irix6.5.

 It now fails for very program that has linked in libstdc++.so.2.9.0
in the following way:

95673:/mnts/d9/tmp/egcs-snapobjs/gcc/testsuite/g++-mike-p8155-C: rld:
Error: unresolvable symbol in
/mnts/d9/tmp/egcs-snapobjs//libstdc++/libstdc++.so.2.9.0: _vt$9type_info
95673:/mnts/d9/tmp/egcs-snapobjs/gcc/testsuite/g++-mike-p8155-C: rld:
Fatal Error: this executable has unresolvable symbols
FAIL: g++.mike/p8155.C  Execution test

 "gcc" alone checks out fine. I will have a look later today
into the libstdc++ issue unless someone else comes up with
an idea first.
