building egcs

While building ecgs I get the message bits/libc-lock.h: no such file or
directory.  Looking at your Frequently Asked question section, cygnus
suggests that I reinstall the glibc2.0.5c library.  Currently I'm
working on a sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1 and glibc isn't ported to that
architecture.  What should I do???
