Build failure egcs-19981012, mips-sgi-irix6.4

I failed to build failure egcs-19981012.

I used the following configure command:
../src/egcs-19981012/configure
--prefix=/usr/local/cvap/egcs/egcs-19981012 

Then I give the command make bootstrap-lean,
which gives the following output afte quite some while:
(I hope this excerpt of the log will be enough to understand what is
going wrong.
If not I can supply more info.)
