1.1b: C++ internal compiler error

When compiling VDK 0.4
( http://www.guest.net/homepages/mmotta/VDKHome/index.htm ), several files
consistently trigger internal compiler errors (signal 11) in cc1plus. This
problem occurs on multiple systems (that do not have hardware troubles -
this is not a case of http://www.bitwizard.nl/sig11/ ), and does not occur
with egcs 1.0.3a .

Unfortunately, the g++ -E output on these files is too large to include. I
believe I've provided all the information necessary for reproducing the
problem. Should this not be the case, please let me know, and I'll try to
make the g++ -E output available via the web.
