egcs 2.92.17/8 alpha-redhat-linux: internal compiler error (sig 11)

Compiling the attached code (from imlib 1.8.1) causes cc1 to
sig11 with egcs 2.92.17/egcs 2.92.18, on alpha-redhat-linux.
(1.0.3a works OK, don't know about 1.1b). Sparc & intel both
compile file.

gcc -v --save-temps & stack trace attached. (bz2)
