I doubt the problems are relavent for gcc-2.8.x since I don't think gcc2 has
either the fixes to consistently use GEN_INT nor do I think it has the updated
sets_cc0_p code.  I believe these problems are strictly in egcs.

I've fixed both in the mainline egcs tree.
