Hi Niall,
This is not surprising. egcs 1.0.3 is not a successor of 980214, but
of egcs 1.0.2. It is the 1.0 release branch, and it got no major
patches from the main branch for months. Only bugs that prevented
RedHat from building Linux with 1.0.2 were fixed in 1.0.3.
This code base you saw in 2.91.08 is continually being developed in
current snapshots, and will be eventually the basis for egcs 1.1.
