With egcs-2.91.25 19980425 under SunOS 5.51 your code compiles, links
and runs quite well.


You might want to consider having a look at some current snapshot! It
seems that a large number of your bug reports do not apply to these
any more. 

On the other hand, I'd take this as a strong indication that egcs 1.1
is really (over)due...
