Pbs with texinfo

Hello ,

I work on an Alphastation PWS 500a/500 with Linux 2.0.33 ( Redhat 4.2 )
I try to install egcs-980302 , I lanch ./configure without problems ,
my system is recognized. I start make , it compils well during few
minutes but at a moment it make an error message like :

./makeinfo/makeinfo -I. texinfo.texi 
make[1]: *** [texinfo] Segmentation fault (core dumped)
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/bordenav/egcs/egcs-980302/texinfo'
make: *** [all-texinfo] Error 2

and it stops.

I don't know this message and I don't understand this.
If someone has an idea ?
