EGCS and LynxOS

I'm trying to build EGCS for a PowerPC running LynxOS, and having
absolutely no fun doing it.  When I run the configure program, it tells
me it can't determine the type, so I define it explicitly
(powerpc-motorola-lynxos).  If I run the configure program like that, it
says configuration powerpc-motorola-lynxos not supported.  Can you help
me out a bit?  Am I just SOL?
