egcs-19980608 build failure on HPUX 10.01

I just tried to build egcs-19980608 on HPUX 10.01 but it failed (building this
same snapshot on solaris 2.5.1 worked fine).

configure flags: --prefix=/usr/local/egcs-19980608 --with-gnu-as
