Hello Yan, 

Purify worked! with egcs's g++ (on the tiny example).
I had to:
  *  Link statically :(
  *  Use _both_ purify options: -force-rebuild=yes -best-effort
I still get 'inifinite' messages:
     Purify engine: Warning: Unknown N_FUN type ''.
     Debug info may not be handled correctly.
that hopefully will go away using the new latest (4.1) Purify.
