egcs 1.0 and purify on Solaris 2.5/SPARC: Unknown N_FUN type ''.

   It seems that egcs-1.0 and purify are incompatible.  With gcc, things work ok.

I expect that this will fail with gcc 2.8 as well, since it appears to
be due to an enhancement to debugging output.

   Warning: Unknown N_FUN type ''.
   Debug info may not be handled correctly.

This will have to be fixed in Purify.

Personally, I think Purify should try to be more mellow about stuff it
doesn't understand.  ``Be conservative in what you generate, and
liberal in what you accept.''
