Hello there,

>From my understanding of page 406 of Stroustrup 3, I think the
following code should compile ok.

It fails to compile on g++ 2.7.2.1, egcs-980115 and egcs-9802114.

Machine is i486-pc-linux-gnulibc1, if that makes any difference.

struct A {
	int i;
	A() : i( 27) {};
};

class B : virtual public A {
};

class C : virtual private A, public B {
};

int
main()
{
	C c;

	if (c.i != 27)
	{
		return 1;
	}

	return 0;
}
