Hi:

While compiling KDE with the latest egcs snapshot on SPARC/Solaris 2.5.1
I keep getting the following error message:

In file included from /usr/local/kde/include/ksock.h:101,
                 from kioslave_ipc.h:9,
                 from kioslave_ipc.cpp:6:
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/egcs-2.91.08/include/sys/types.h:174:
abstract declarator used as declaration
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/egcs-2.91.08/include/sys/types.h:177:
abstract declarator used as declaration
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `kioslave_ipc.o'

The actual lines are simple typedefs.

/* POSIX and XOPEN Declarations */

typedef	int	key_t; /* IPC key type */
typedef	ulong_t	mode_t;			/* file attribute type	*/

#ifndef	_UID_T
#define	_UID_T
/*Error>>*/typedef	long	uid_t;			/* UID type		*/
#endif

/*Error>>*/typedef	uid_t	gid_t;			/* GID type		*/
typedef	ulong_t nlink_t;		/* file link type	*/
typedef ulong_t	dev_t;			/* expanded device type */
typedef ulong_t	ino_t;			/* expanded inode type	*/
typedef long	pid_t; /* process id type	*/

Does anyone know what is happening??
What does "abstract declarator used as declaration" mean??

Thanks in advance,
