Well, it was correct in that it actually worked.
It was wrong in that it was the wrong way to solve the problem.

I didn't define a platform because my problem applied to all VxWorks
platforms.
But (I believe) my problem was not with the definition of SIZE_TYPE,
but due to the fact that the compiler was not accessing the "fixincludes"
version of the header files.
I haven't confirmed this yet, but I will soon.
BTW, you wouldn't happen to know of a patch to gcc or egcs (and binutils)
for producing i960 ELF code, would you?
