Checking cc1plus with purify

Hi,

this message follows a discussion with Jeffrey A. Law, where he said
that purify reports would be interesting to look at.  We discussed the
way to report potential bugs found by purify.  For a start, i will just
report the line & trace info.  This message is the first of several
postings.  I will report one bug per post, to allow for threaded
discussion.  First come "Uninitialized memory reads" (UMR), then
"Memory leaks" (MLK).
