Spurious ^Ms in gcc testsuite output

While running make check (with dejagnu 19981026, tcl 8.0p2 and expect 5.26)
against egcs 1.1.1 on IRIX 6.2 and Digital UNIX V4.0B, I noticed that the
test summaries produced by contrib/test_summary, as well as the {gcc,
g++}.{log, sum} files proper, contain spurious trailing ^Ms like this:

/tmp/egcs-1.1.1/gcc/xgcc version egcs-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1 release)^M

g77.sum doesn't show this problem, but there are several other cases of
trailing ^Ms in g77.log.

I haven't been able to really trace this down (my knowledge of tcl/expect
is quite limited), but it should probably be fixed in the dejagnu framework.
