I've been trying to duplicate the bzip2 performance lossage with egcs-19981206 relative to gcc-2.7.2 on i386-linux (RH 4.2/libc5) and I don't see it; the difference in compression time seems to be around ~5% which seems within margin for error. If I'm missing something, please let me know. Toshi
