bastring.h:110: Internal compiler error

I already saw this error on this list but without further information:
since changing std/bastring.cc on 1998-11-30 (see libstdc++/ChangeLog) I get
this error:

GNU C++ version egcs-2.92.25 19981204 (gcc2 ss-980609 experimental)
(sparc-sun-solaris2.6) compiled by GNU C version egcs-2.92.23 19981127 (gcc2
ss-980609 experimental)
(a bootstrap build had the same result)
