Hi
I am attempting to compile egcs on a Hal Sparc 64 machine which
works OK upto the start of stage 2 compile (Stage 1 uses the sun cc
compiler) where I get the following erors:
stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -DIN_GCC -DSVR4 -O2 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H
-DHAIFA -I. -I/sim/wintermute/egcs/egcs-1.1b/gcc
-I/sim/wintermute/egcs/egcs-1.1b/gcc/config \
-c `echo /sim/wintermute/egcs/egcs-1.1b/gcc/alloca.c | sed 's,^\./,,'`
Assembler error/warning messages:
/var/tmp/ccjKrPmc.s: Warning: The -s option has no applicablity to the
GNU assembler base
true
stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -DIN_GCC -DSVR4 -O2 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DHAIFA
-o cccp cccp.o cexp.o prefix.o \
version.o obstack.o alloca.o
ld: fatal: file /usr/ccs/lib/values-Xa.o: wrong machine class
ld: fatal: file /usr/lib/libc.so: wrong machine class
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to cccp
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Can you give me some idea's on how to find what machine class is
expected and how to configure egcs to use this machine class.
Thanks
Richar
