I coulnd't agree more.  Would anybody mind if I rewrote this paragraph
so as to say that we would appreciate bug reports containing code
snippets for which ANSI/ISO C requires diagnostics but `gcc -W -Wall
-ansi -pedantic' doesn't complain?

Not if they're widely used in the only C library available for the
platform :-)
