I fixed this problem on Wednesday, shortly after the snapshot.  Of course,
the real problem is that ASM_COMMENT_START isn't defined properly for many
targets, but oh well.

The fix was to change all occurrences of flag_verbose_asm in dwarf2out.c to
flag_debug_asm.

What other problems are you referring to, besides the .eh_frame overhead?
