gdb segmentation violation.

Hello egcs community.

First, let me re-reuqest a SEARCH function in the egcs's web-archives.

Egcs - is not my main activity and I don't understand any compiler internals.
I am just an egcs/g++ user who wishes all the best for this project.
I cannot afford managing a copy of the egcs-archive. Probably someone
has reported the following before - but 'gdb' did not appear
in the egcs-bugs's _subjects_.

Anyway, I am using:

 telaviv:463> egcs++ -v
 Reading specs from /home/seg/yotam/build/dryinst.Solaris/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.5/egcs-2.90.08/specs
 gcc version egcs-2.90.08 970917 (gcc2-970802 experimental)
and
 GDB 4.16 (sparc-sun-solaris2.5), Copyright 1996 Free Software Foundation, Inc...

I am now getting:
   Debugger segmentation violation

I don't yet have a simple small case in which it happens...
Do I need to reinstall gdb with some 'egcs'-ish configuration?
Use egcs's gcc to build gdb?
