egcs-970917 fails on SINIX

Configuration: mips-sni-sysv4, uname -s -r -v says "SINIX-Y 5.43 B0045".

There is a minor problem and a major problem.

Minor problem: fixincludes breaks include/setjmp.h

lines 17-19 read
	#if defined(__STDC__)
	#define __mips__ defined(__mips__)
	#else

The just-built gcc complains
	./include/setjmp.h:18:35: warning: `__mips__' redefined

The original definition in /usr/include/setjmp.h is
	#define __mips__ #machine(mips)

Major problem: invalid assembly for enquire.c

as0: Error: ...gcc/enquire.c, line 1: Badly delimited numeric literal
	.4byte $LECIE1-$LSCIE1
as0: Error: ...gcc/enquire.c, line 1: malformed statement
as0: Error: ...gcc/enquire.c, line 1: Badly delimited numeric literal

There are many more; all of them refer to lines beginning with .4byte;
the assembler does not seem to support this.

Is this related to the new exception handling? This target, gcc
claims, does not support -g so maybe the debugging information used
for stack unwinding isn't supported either.
