install problem: alloca @ AIX4.1

After removing the line:
     extern char *strrchr ();
from  egcs-970910/texinfo/util/install-info.c.NEW

I now get the following:

 Configuring for a rs6000-ibm-aix4.1.4.0 host.
 Created "Makefile" in /tmp_mnt/home/seg/yotam/build/AIX/egcs/egcs-970910
 Links are now set up to build a native compiler for rs6000-ibm-aix4.1.4.0
