In fact, egcs does not support any template declaration inside a class
body.  This is a known problem and, unless the just-posted Mark
Mitchell's member template patch covers this case or his patch can be
easily extended to cover it, this syntax will not be supported in the
first release of egcs (note that I'm not speaking officially)
