Hello!

	It is impossible to build qt1.21 on an DEC Alpha running 4.0b. Here is
the description:

* gcc version:
gcc version egcs-2.90.16 971105 (gcc2-970802 experimental)

* The file to repoduce the bug is attached; it's called qfont.I (the
preprocessor output from the qt1.21/src/kernel/qfont.cpp with a lot of
stuff not needed to repoduce the bug removed). It is gzipped.
  Sorry for the length - but I do not have the time at the moment to
have a closer look where exactly the error occurs.

* To reproduce the error, type:
g++ -x c++ qfont.I

* Machine:
uname -a say: OSF1 V4.0 564 alpha
config.guess: alpha-dec-osf4.0
(The patch kit 004 is installed.)

* The parameters from configure:
./configure --enable-shared --prefix=/usr/local/pkg/egcs-971105

* No modifications or patches were applied to the egcs source. I took
the original sources from 97-11-05.

* The compiler reports:
qfont.cpp: In method `bool QFont::operator ==(const class QFont &)
const':
qfont.cpp:692: Internal compiler error.
qfont.cpp:692: Please submit a full bug report to
`egcs-bugs@cygnus.com'.

	If there are any further questions feel free to ask!

	Happy debugging

	Andre
