I suggest you check out https://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinaries <https://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/GFortranBinaries>. The binaries there are a bit out of date, it would be nice if 7.1+ builds were available, but they should do for the vast majority of users. Note some of the links to other distributions are more up to date, e.g., HPC Mac OS X provides a Mac High Sierra build of gfortran 7.1.
