gfortran compiler

Hello,

Perhaps I am addressing my problem to a wrong e-mail/recipient, but I am lost and I do not know other (s) can help me. I want to install the gfortran compiler but I see that it is not a strait forward download and install. It requires to build up / installing the gcc.gnu system for which there are several requisites (installed libraries, etc.), procedures, configurations, etc., of which I do not understand. I am not an IT trained professional, I just simple use Hardware, software (baught and/or created by me). I wander if you can give me a hand by providing me with a series of steps to be performed leading to the installation and use of the gfortran compiler.
